Film Fest!

This logo is a pictogram. I think this logo is good because it's obvious that it's a part of something to do with a movie since there is a star and movie reel. The simplicity is good as well, it's not too cluttered but it gets the point across. I believe people would be able to remember this logo because it is simple and gets the point across.

Logos

I chose the Obey logo.  The logo is a stencil of the famous wrestler andre the giant. It has the word obey under it sometimes. When I see this logo I think of graffiti. The logo has not changed. The colors are usually just black and white, but sometimes the word obey is in red.

Portraiture and identity

Lost In Paradise
Dazed And Confused
Aqua Man To The Rescue!
Walkin' On The Sun
Sippin' On Coconut Juice
Cheers
1. These pictures can be described by fun and comical.
2. These people I got to meet on my cruise to the Caribbean. You get to know people when you're stuck on a ship with them for a week. These people, Graydon and Chris, were more interesting than my grandma and my fam. They were very entertaining to photograph.
3. I learned that people you meet for the very first time can be very friendly and outgoing. You get to learn a lot about them, like how much fun they like to have. I learned that Chris's family has lots of money. I also learned that Canadians say " get on the boat" very strangely.
4. The easy part of photographing Chris and graydon was that they weren't afraid to be humorous. They were naturally silly acting. So that made it easy to photograph silly pictures of them.
5. The biggest challenge of photographing them was not making the pictures blurry. The ship we were on tended to rock a little bit, and it seemed every time I wanted to take a picture the boat would rock! Another problem was the lighting. The lighting on the ship was not very good, but the lighting on the islands was beautiful.
6. My favorite picture was Walkin' On The Sun. I liked this picture because it was humorous. I also liked the lighting on the island. There's water on his arm, I thought that made the picture very interesting as well.

Something & Nothing

Stairs and Rail.

I chose to photograph my courtyard because it is very nature filled and you can get nice, artistic shots of nature.

Porch and Pot.

What's In A Photograph?

I see a bag on a chair with a bunch of things in it. I also see some wilting flowers. There is a lot of pots and pans in the background.
My question is why is there so many items in the photo. I like that there's a bunch of things, but I'm just wondering why he composed it like this.
I think the artist is trying to show what he lives like, no real regulation, just living taking life as it's thrown at him.

I like taking pictures from the dutch angle. It helps make my pictures more dramatic and artistic.

Fall Weather

This photo is from a dutch angle.
The closest composition technique for this picture would be symmetry, the tree is basically the same on both sides.
I took this picture behind the school's pool, right in front of the middle school exit.
This is my favorite because I love the fall weather and leaves, and I like how the clouds make some contrast.
The title is fall weather.

Photo A

I like this picture more than the others because it is more close up. I usually like more close up images than far away ones.
I like how the bouquet goes out of the frame, and how the picture is not in the frame very much.
The bouquet and the shelf and frame are relatively close to each other. I think this is because of the angle the picture was taken from.
The objects are very close to me, it feels like I could touch them if I was able to reach into the picture.

It's Me!

Title: Woah.

Nathan, that's the name with an a, not an e.

I'm interested in music, movies, art, and other random things. My favorite type of art is usually street art.
I've had many different careers that I want to pursue. One, would be to photograph skateboarding or snowboarding. I've always wanted to do this, because skateboarding interests me. Sadly, I'm not too hot at it. I also want to be an actor. Theater is the only school activity I take part in. I also have thought about being a chef recently...
I have many favorite movies. For example, Little Miss Sunshine, and the Dark Knight (mostly for heath ledger). What I like about art is that it's all expression, you can make whatever you want to and it can be successful.
I took this class because my mom was a photographer, and I wanted to pick up skills like she has.
